S2S Campus Sponsor Campus Military Liaison

Student 2 Student (S2S) is a student-led organization at Fox Run Elementary. The group focuses on helping students feel welcomed and connected as they transition into a new school environment. The S2S program strives to create a positive and welcoming environment that helps students make friends and feel a sense of belonging. We provide school tours, lunch buddies, and recess friends. These opportunities help build connections between new students and the campus community.

When new families enter the building for initial enrollment, they are greeted by the Data Processor with general information about the campus. Relocation services are available to parents who have partnered with NEISD to support new families.  Academic calendars, assessment calendars, etc. are also available to parents through a QR coded document.  Students who qualify for a special program or are in need of counseling support can meet with the appropriate staff.

A S2S member will take each new student through a tour of our campus. New students will learn of the spaces, people, and programs they have available to them. Students are given a brochure with relevant information to share with their families. 

Throughout the year, S2S takes part in meaningful community and school-wide projects, reinforcing a spirit of service and inclusion. The group hosts activities in April during the Month of the Military Child. New students are able to meet with the counselor or family specialist to learn about resources available to military and/or new families.

JBSA School Liaison

Joint Base San Antonio Military Child Education Program School Liaison Office (SLO) helps parents ease the transition of the mobile military lifestyle and can assist prior to your PCS, upon arrival, while at your installation and when you prepare to depart for your next duty station.

They specialize in serving military families with K-12 school age children and are able to provide information about the local school systems and community. The SLO will support parents and school districts with the Interstate Compact for the Education of Military Students interpretation, information on schools and boundaries, Home School, Deployment Support, provide School and Community Outreach partnerships. These military dependent education professionals serve as a link between military families and all surrounding school districts, ensuring maximum educational opportunities for academic success.
